Fostering enterprise to breed opportunities from opportunity
Brunel’s Entrepreneur Hub
In 2025, 61 companies, founded by Brunel University graduates, were active and creating opportunities not only for graduate entrepreneurs, but also throughout a community where 78.5% of participants come from Black, racially and ethnically minoritised groups (among whom NEET rates are higher).
These companies were started with support from Brunel’s Entrepreneur Hub which gives aspiring entrepreneurs, freelancers and changemakers the skills, guidance and opportunities needed to turn ideas into successful ventures that address real-world challenges and deliver positive social impact. The Hub offers one-to-one business advice, practical workshops, networking events and access to funding opportunities including a £15,000 Venture Competition.
Many of the successful enterprises – which range from technology and healthcare innovations to creative businesses, sustainable products and community-focused initiatives – have been recognised in external competitions.
