The Brunel Book Club

The Brunel Book Club works in the last two years of primary schools to give pupils from underrepresented backgrounds a love of reading. Research shows a link between reading for pleasure and academic success and so the Club’s weekly in-school sessions and immersive on-campus experiences boost social mobility by raising literacy, confidence and aspirations. Pupils benefit from exposure to relatable role models, helping them to build confidence and see further and higher education as part of their future.
